Plaza Diamond Bar – RTK is designing a 26,300 sq. ft. commercial (retail and office) building at Plaza Diamond Bar in Brea, CA. To obtain a more modern look, and yet blend in with the existing glass-and-wood-siding buildings on the site, the design utilizes a cementitious exterior siding, with glass extending around the entire perimeter at the lower and upper floor levels. This creates a floating effect for the upper and lower façade siding. To blend in with adjacent buildings and local desert terrain, earth-tone colors are used. Expected completion: Summer of 2006.

Homburg Jaguar – RTK designed a 9,600 sq. ft. auto showroom addition and covered parking / storage facility. The new showroom mix of concrete, steel, metal and glass which creates an angled roof set atop steel columns, allowing the 30-foot tall glass wall to undulate underneath. This combination of strength and lightness will draw a dynamic visual during the day and night.
