Professional Experience

Mr. Katz been working in architecture since 1966.  Commencing as an apprentice and continuing through most all phases of the profession; architectural design, planning, contract documents, specification writing, construction administration and client relationships. His experience includes much work in the industrial area _ especially food industry and processing and cold storage _ commercial, medical, master planning and residential projects, as well as many years in the design of schools both public and private. Mr. Katz's background has ranged from small to large remodeling projects as well as total plant and commercial facility designs, encompassing interior space planning. As President of the firm, he has been involved in the design of numerous projects. The following is a list of selected work:

Forensic Architecture / Expert Witness

Consulting with attorneys, expert witnessing and providing research and investigations for the legal profession, as well as repair drawings. Forensic architectural services include expert testimony in construction defects on buildings, including all types of roofing, waterproofing in areas that have water below grade and dam proofing with regards to structures including flashing, both in bituthene, water and ice, and sheet metal; stucco, drywall, roof flashing, window/door flashing, doors and fire door assemblies, party walls and code enforcement. Professional Experience

Ms. Motahari's architectural work has concentrated on a variety of commercial, industrial, health-care and medical facilities, including new and renovated office buildings, space planning, tenant improvements, medical office buildings, laboratories and hospital renovations and expansions. Mandana's responsibilities include directing and coordinating architectural design and engineering personnel, implementing and developing client program criteria, as well as establishing and monitoring project schedule. She has also directed and reviewed work plans, supervised project progress, contacted and coordinated with clients and participated in construction observation activities and support. Ms. Motahari has been involved in the design of numerous projects. She has exceptional experience in interior color/material, textural and lighting design.

Sami El Bayar

Professional Experience

Mr. El Bayar has professional experience in all phases of architecture.  Since 1989 his work includes all phases of architecture from schematic design, design development, contract documents and construction administration for various industrial, commercial and institutional clients. He is currently the project manager for a long range Master Plan project for the Buckley School in Sherman Oaks.

He was the Project Architect for two commercial / retail buildings of 35,000 square feet in the new Brea/Birch Street Promenade in Brea; and has recently completed designs of two 25,000 square foot buildings on the 3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica for the development firm CIM Group, LLC. Mr. El Bayar is also responsible for the design and construction administration of several hundred thousand square feet of various retail / creative space projects throughout Southern California.

Mr. El Bayar has served as the Project Designer and Architect on numerous commercial/retail projects in Santa Monica: DreamWorks SKG, Glencoe Studios, Radical Media, BIZ (a movie/video library), and Claude Short Dodge.
