256 - 26th Street - This office/retail building is nestled on a commercial street in a quiet, predominantly residential neighborhood. The use of wood storefronts, shutters, a clay-tile mansard roof and 2nd floor planter boxes achieved the client's goal of a European Italianesque style, while blending nicely with the small scale commercial and residential area. The ground floor trellis creates a quaint outdoor seating area for the enjoyment of the passers-by and outdoor dining.

Bijou Theater - As part of the urban renewal of downtown Hermosa Beach , RTK was commissioned to rehabilitate this historical theater into a new retail / commercial use. The scope included new facade restoration as well as significant interior space planning.

Plastic Mart - Designed for a plastic products retailer, this 5,000 square foot building opens up on the ground floor to allow for large display areas. The use of aluminum panels, slate and plaster on the facade accent the different massing elements of the building as well as the interior spatial hierarchy.
