4th & Santa Monica - This rehabilitation of a 1920's unreinforced masonry building included a seismic upgrade, facade renovation, and the re-framing of the roofline to include exposed pitched wood ceilings, a penthouse and roof decks.
Claude Short Dodge - An automobile dealership built in the 1920's, The Claude Short Dodge showroom, warehouse and offices were destroyed in the 1994 earthquake. RTK provided full architectural services from programming, to design thru construction observation for the new facility, as well as remodeling of the existing service building while maintaining continual service operations.
1442 2nd Street - This project was a rehabilitation and expansion of an existing one story theater building. RTK remodeled the first floor for a restaurant tenant and added two levels of creative space above. The upper level has a 20'-0" high ceiling with an exposed tongue and groove wood ceiling, as well as clear span trusses.
